Inspired by his father, he began playing trumpet and learned the joy of jazz from his teacher 下津正光. Based in Fukuoka since age 18, he has mainly performed with big bands and combos, appearing at Nakasu Jazz, Hakataza, and venues across Kyushu. His work spans genres including enka and wind ensemble music. In a big band, he performed with vocalist and flugelhorn player TOKU and took part in recording the album Dear Mr. SINATRA.
