Takeda Shuun
たけだ しゅううん
A Fukuoka-based musician and the frontman of the Fukuoka band Zigzags, he has also been performing live as a solo artist in recent years. His music is rooted in acoustic guitar and piano, with an emphasis on the natural texture of live instruments and the subtle fluctuations of performances that are not overly locked to the grid, giving his songs a distinctly tactile quality. In his songwriting, he values the balance between memorable, catchy melodies and a slight sense of unease or unexpectedness. At the heart of his musical practice is a desire to create something that can spark a sense of excitement and curiosity, both in himself and in the listener.
He is currently working on new material as a solo artist, with plans to release a solo EP in 2027.
Ahead of the EP, he is set to release the single “Kage.”
On October 31, he is scheduled to perform a solo set at Kaze Camp, an event hosted by Sohei Oyamada and FCM.
