Formed in 2023, THE YELLOW is a duo consisting of didgeridoo player and composer mabsoh and guitarist Yoshiaki Kuriyama. Combining the deep, earthy resonance of the didgeridoo with electronic instruments, mabsoh shapes THE YELLOW’s sound across a broad spectrum, from ambient soundscapes to dance music. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of music, including pop, rock, and blues, Kuriyama brings an intuitive and versatile approach to the guitar, creating emotionally charged melodies and a distinctive presence. The primal resonance of the didgeridoo, electronic textures, and expressive guitar come together as two different musical backgrounds intersect. Moving fluidly between ambient and dance music, these elements form the distinctive sound of THE YELLOW.
