Mar. 31, 2024 (Sun.): Asakura Heavy Rain Disaster Recovery Charity Live & Market in Tenjin
Demo Tape: Fukuoka Music Era, broadcast on RKB Radio at 4:00 a.m. every Saturday, has worked with Earth Project Fukuoka since last year to hold charity concerts for recovery from the Asakura heavy-rain disaster at Sanren Suisha no Sato Asakura and deliver the donations collected to Asakura City.
To report on that work and the current state of recovery, a charity concert and Asakura products market will be held on the lawn plaza at the Fukuoka Bank head office in Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Mar. 31.
Enjoy popular craft and food vendors from Asakura while local independent musicians who have appeared on Demo Tape and joined the charity effort perform a donation-based concert. Junya Kato will serve as host, joined by Earth Project Fukuoka ambassador Ai Sakamoto. Photographs at the venue will show Asakura’s continuing recovery.
A one-hour Clean Town activity will also begin at noon to clean the streets of Tenjin. Bring friends and family and join us.
The plaza will be bustling from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Mar. 31, so please visit the Fukuoka Bank head office lawn plaza.

Fresh fruit, processed foods, sundries, and more come from Asakura to Tenjin. A portion of sales from this charity market will be donated to Asakura City. Eight Asakura vendors will participate.

Clean Tenjin Together
Performers and visitors will join a cleanup around the venue. Participants will receive a volunteer certificate. Anyone wishing to help may participate; please come to the event venue by noon on the day.
No advance application is required.
Tools needed for litter collection, including trash bags, work gloves, and tongs, will be provided.
Child-size work gloves and tongs will not be available.
Participants will be asked to wear a bib.
Supplies are limited. If participation is especially high, some people may not be able to join; thank you for your understanding.
