Akina Hatano
Born in Miyazaki and living in Fukuoka, Akina Hatano graduated from the Department of Music at Fukuoka Women’s Junior College. She studied clarinet with Keiko Kinoshita and jazz with Shusaku Yamano. After leaving the Fukuoka City Fire Department Band, she became a freelance musician. She is an artist for French reed brand MARCA REEDS, leads clarinet big band The Humming Birds, and performs at Ore no French Hakata.
Asuka Kamada
Jazz pianist Asuka Kamada began classical piano at age five. She discovered improvisation at university, developed an interest in popular music and jazz, and honed her skills through performances with musicians from Japan and abroad. She now works mainly in Fukuoka as a pianist, producing music for weddings and events, performing at hotels and bars, and giving jazz concerts. In recent years, she has also presented Brazilian-music concerts around the region. Her many group activities include the violin, vocal, and piano trio Girl Talk and saxophone unit The Phoenix. She released the mini-album Prism in June 2023. At her own music school, she teaches classical, jazz, popular music, and music theory to children and adults.

Come directly to the CANVAS Lounge on the second floor of The Royal Park Canvas Fukuoka Nakasu and enjoy the performance. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each guest is asked to order at least one drink in the lounge. There is no music charge.
