The Fukuoka Special is finally here!
CONDORS, a dance company that has led Japan’s contemporary dance scene, presents a performance created with a team of artists with disabilities formed in Fukuoka.
CONDORS has worked toward an inclusive society through contemporary dance, co-presenting participatory performances for children open from infancy and producing large-scale civic productions. Through a series of two-way creative workshops, eight CONDORS members led by Ryohei Kondo and nine Fukuoka artists with disabilities have made a work they will perform together. The pop, humor-filled production meets each participant as an individual instead of treating everyone within the broad category of “artists with disabilities.” By helping every individual shine through the performing arts, it nurtures the beginnings of a society in which diverse people recognize one another and live together.
Making Accessibility Support the Standard, Not an Extra
The performance provides extensive accessibility support so participants and audience members can enjoy it with confidence, with or without disabilities. Services include earmuff loans, a parent-and-child viewing room, and wheelchair spaces.

Admission (reserved seating, tax included): general ¥2,500; age 25 and under ¥1,500; disability certificate holders ¥1,000 (present the certificate on the performance date)

Hearing loop, earmuff loans, sign-language interpretation, parent-and-child viewing room,
children’s floor-cushion loans, wheelchair spaces, and service-dog accompaniment
Wheelchair spaces and the parent-and-child viewing room require advance reservations because capacity is limited.

One companion accompanying a wheelchair user is admitted free.

• Tickets cannot be changed or refunded unless the performance is canceled.
• Elementary-school-age children and younger must be accompanied by a guardian.
