Nov. 27, 2025 (Thu.): Kei DANCE IN KALEIDOSCOPE Release Live
Fukuoka-based pianist Kei holds an album-release concert!
Released in December 2024 by CADENZA by T-TOC Records,KeiKei’s second albumDANCE IN KALEIDOSCOPEprojects the lives, dreams, and sometimes fleeting emotions of people living in today’s cities into a kaleidoscope, pursuing both artistic expression and a comfortable urban jazz sound.
The album includes eight Kei originals and new arrangements of Victor Young standards “When I Fall in Love” and “Stella by Starlight.” “With the Starlight in Your Eyes — Hoshi no Hikari to —” from the first album KEI JAZZ HEALING is newly recorded with a different lineup.
The title DANCE IN KALEIDOSCOPE was inspired by the colors and shifting patterns Kei experienced at the Kyoto Kaleidoscope Museum. Finding common ground between worlds of sound and color art, Kei shaped a desire to expand the possibilities of expression.
For the release concert, Kei performs in a trio with recording members Mutsumi Sugiura on bass and Shun Oba on drums. Enjoy a dreamlike evening of kaleidoscopic music.
